phpFox 3.0.0 Beta 4 Released
Posted October 12, 2011 by Raymond Benc
We are pleased to announce that phpFox version 3.0.0 Beta 4 has been released.

If you have just heard about v3 and would like to find out more check out our series of blog entries detailing all the new changes and features this version introduces.
Please note that is a beta release and is not officially supported by our team. If you are running anything older then phpFox v3.0.0beta1 we advice to not upgrade your live community until our product reaches RC (Release Candidate). You can upgrade a development site so you can start testing the upgrade script and report any issues to us.

Help Test

To speed up the process to reach RC and Stable we kindly ask to test out the product as much as you can. Try to install it in a development folder and have your users test out the product and report problems in a forum on your site, which you can then relay to our bug tracker here.

This version can be downloaded directly from our clients area. When you have selected a license and reached the download page look for and tick/select "Download Older or Beta/RC Version". Then select "3.0.0beta4" from the drop down list. During Beta and RC anyone with a valid license will be able to access and download v3.

Requirements

Requirements for v3 can be found here.

Documentation

Our documentation can be found here. Note that the documentation for installing the product for v3 is the same as v2. The guide is missing certain files that need to have "write" permission, however the installer will guide you on those extra folders that need to be updated.
